Senator Nwebonyi made the admonition yesterday, 13th June 2024 when the Nigerian Law School Students under the Leadership of Mr Samuel Abida paid him a courtesy visit to mark his one year in office as the Senator representing the industrious and good people of Ebonyi North Zone.
Senator Nwebonyi,a legal guru was joyous to receive some of the Nigerian Law School students in his Abuja office, used the avenue to encourage them to strive for excellence both in the Nigerian Law School and when they must have been called to bar, stating that legal profession is a gratifying noble profession.
Recounting some of his superlative achievements within one year in office as the Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Nwebonyi insisted that he has sworn to serve God through charity and excellence in humanitarian and public services.
The Senator adumbrated his achievements to include sponsoring of people's oriented bills, moving of motions on issues that is directly affecting the Nigerian poor masses and those with special needs, payment of over 50million to undergraduates and postgraduates under Ohamadike Scholarship Scheme, Distribution of laptops to some undergraduates of Law Faculty, Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, Building and furnishing of 78 three bedroom bungalows for the select widows and to the people with Special Needs, attracted for the construction of over 361 Kilometers of Ebonyi-Benue- Abuja Link road and over 6.5 internal roads in both Ebonyi and Abakaliki LGAs, Training and Empowerments of the select Ebonyi Youths on modern Agriculture, Early supply and distribution of farm inputs to farmers across Ebonyi north zone, supply and distribution of trucks of food palliative to the people of the zone and beyond,Purchasing and Sharing of ten cars and over 100 motorcycles to party leaders and youths of Ebonyi north zone, distribution of big deep freezers and sowing machines to some select women of Ebonyi north zone, Financial grants to some women and youths from the zone and host of other life touching projects.
The education loving Senator assured the Students of his preparedness to do more to ensure that the people of his zone adequately benefit from the dividends of democracy.
Senator Nwebonyi appreciated the students for coming and assured of his readiness to assist them whenever and wherever the need arises.
Earlier in his remarks, the Leader of the group, Mr Samuel Abida told Senator Nwebonyi that they were in his office to identify with him as he marks one year in office. Mr Abida applauded Senator Nwebonyi's giant achievements within just one year. He added that they were happy because of his efficiency, effectiveness and quality representation in the red chamber.
