The Hon Commissioner for Border Peace and conflict Resolution Dr Donatus Ilang has appaulded the people of mbeke ishieke community for their peaceful disposition during and after the selection and coronation of new traditional Ruler of the community, HRH Eze Peter N.Ukpamazi.
The Commissioner made the commendation recently in his office at old Government House Abakaliki during a meeting with the stakeholders and leadership of mbeke Ishieke community .
Dr Ilang emphasized that the meeting was called to plead with the good people of mbeke ishieke and solicit their support for the the new Traditional Ruler of the Community.
The conflict Resolution boss who describes mbeke Community as very unique and accommod, advised those opposing the newly coronated Eze to drop their grievances and forge ahead as power is transient and can only comes from God.
Dr Ilang further thanked the Governor of Ebonyi State for giving mbeke ishieke Community enabling environment to choose their traditional Ruler and promised to visit the community with other top Government officials to celebrate with them
The cordinator of mbeke Development centre Hon Franklin Nwugwu said that the community has been peaceful since after the coronation of the Eze irrespective of little agitation by some groups .
In their speaches, chief Lazarus Eze, High chief Peter mgbabor and chief Boniface Iziogo expressed gratitude to Ebonyi state Government for their concerns in enthroning traditional ruler in the community since the death of their late Eze many years ago. They promised to support the new traditional ruler and abide by the resolution of State Government on the Ezeship tussle.
In an interview the newly crowned traditional Ruler HRH EZE PETER N. UKPAMAZI expressed deep appreciation to the Governor of Ebonyi state for his fatherly roles during the Ezeship tussle and prayed for God guidance as he continued to administer the state.He thanked Mbeke community for finding him worthy to lead mbeke ishieke community and assured the people of inclusive traditional administration devoid of crisis and rancour.
