The National Council of Women Societies, NCWS, decorated Ebonyi State Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Stephen Uchenna Igwe, as the Goodwill Ambassador of Nigerian Women. Decorating Hon. Igwe, the National president of NCWS, Mrs. Geraldine Etuk, who was represented by the Ebonyi State chapter Chairperson of NCWS, Hon. Mrs. Chinyere Udoku, said that Nigerian women gave that honour to Hon. Uchenna Igwe in recognition of his support and empowerment to the girl-child, women and the less privileged.
Receiving the honour, in company of the permanent secretary, Mr. Chukwu, and the ministry's accountant, Mr. Eze Anya, the commissioner, thanked Nigerian women for the recognition and dedicated the honour to God and his dear principal, His Excellency, Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru. He urged Ebonyi women to fully support Gov. Nwifuru who is striving to give Ebonyians good life.
