APC Rally: Gov. Nwifuru, Emegha, Others Lauds Barr Nwankwos' Supperlative Performance In Ikwo

Wednesday 3rd July, 2024, marked a significant political event in Ikwo LGA, as the All Progressive Congress APC flags off the re-election campaign of the Council Boss, Hon. Barr. Sunday Basil Nwankwo. The event which had in attendance the Executive Governor of the State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Bldr. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, represented by the Deputy, Princess Patricia Obila commenced with the commissioning of the Mordenized Ikwo Council hall, courtesy of Barr. Sunday Basil Nwankwo.
Speaking shortly before the commissioning, the Deputy Governor praised the governor for establishing a structured leadership system that guides and supports his subordinates at the Local Government level to excel. She commended the Executive chairman of Ikwo LGA for his visionary leadership and effective implementation of the governor's  People's Charter of Needs mantra. She underscored the strategic and organized approach of the current leadership in Ebonyi State, highlighting the impact of the Governor's policies on local governance.
The Governor's representative who handed the party's flag to Barr. Sunday Nwankwo, charged him to run an all inclusive administration and consolidate on the already recorded milestones.

The Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa thanked Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for his love for Ikwo people, describing the Governor as an achiever who has made the State proud. He tasked Ikwo people to continue to show solidarity to the Governor and to vote massively for APC on the 20th July LGA election.

Also speaking, the State Chairman of APC, Hon. Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, the National Treasurer of APC Chief Matthew Uguru and the Zonal Secretary, Chief Itapa Azuobu expressed their appreciation to the people of Ikwo Noyo Clan. They lauded the people's cooperation, large turnout and the unwavering support for Governor Nwifuru's administration. They praised  the exemplary conduct and achievements of the the Council Boss, and  encouraged other LGAs to emulate Ikwo's standards, stressing that they have set a benchmark for political engagement and civic responsibility in the State.
In his acceptance speech the executive chairman of Ikwo LGA, Hon. Barr. Sunday Basil Nwankwo, who is also the chairmanship candidate for the 2024 election, alongside his vice, Hon. Mrs. Chinasa Itumo, expressed deep gratitude to the governor for his endorsement and pledged unwavering support for the governor's administration. 

Hon Barr. Nwankwo reaffirmed his commitment to the governor's vision and his dedication to serving the people of Ikwo LGA.

Earlier in his remarks Chief Barr. Okeagu Ogada, who was the  chairman of the occasion, addressed the gathering with gratitude and acknowledged the Governor and his Deputy's exceptional leadership, emphasizing their dedication to the welfare of Ikwo Noyo and their endorsement of the second-term bid for the executive chairman of Ikwo LGA. Chief Barr. Ogada's speech resonated with the attendees, reinforcing the community's trust and support for the current administration.
In theirs speeches, Her Excellency the former first lady of the state, Chief Mrs. Josephine Elechi, Chief Celestine Nwali, Chief Clement Nweke, APC Chairman in Ikwo LGA Mr. Sunday Onuzu among others, shared their enthusiasm and optimism. They praised the governor, his deputy, and their team for their exceptional leadership and for recognizing the executive chairman and his vice as worthy candidates for a second term. Their endorsements added a significant layer of support, reflecting the broad-based approval of the current leadership within the state.

The campaign flag off was well attended by public office holders, stakeholders Traditional Rulers, party faithfuls among other dignitaries from different parts of Ebonyi State.
