APC's Victory Excites Emegha, Says It's Litmus Test For 2027 Election

The chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC in Ebonyi State, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha has expressed satisfaction with the landslide victory record by his party in the just concluded Local Government election in the state, saying that the election is a litmus test of what will happen come 2027 general election.

Emegha, while speaking to journalists on Sunday, shortly after the announcement of the election results by the chief returning officer and the chairman of Ebonyi State independent electoral commission,(EBSIEC) Barr. Jossy Eze, said, he expected nothing but victory in the election, noting that his party worked hard to earn the victory.

He noted further that the political parties who claimed to have stayed away from the election are afraid of competition and are not existing in the state.

The APC Boss commended members for their peaceful conduct and  urged them sustain the support for the party as APC remains the only party in the state.

He thanked the Governor, Francis Nwifiru for providing the right leadership in the state and congratulated the elected13 Local Government Chairmen and 171 ward councilors for their well deserved victory.

Emegha enjoined the elected Chairmen and ward councilors to work hard to justify the mandate given to them by the party and the people.


Recall that Ebonyi state independent Electoral Commission (EBSIEC) conducted the local government election last Saturday, 20th July, 2024. Three political parties, APC, LP and APGA, according to EBSIEC participated in the election in which the ruling All Progressives Congress APC swept the 13 council Chairmen and 171 councilors.
