Bishop Onu Prays For Sustenance Of Peace, Unity In Ebonyi APC

By Celestine Okeh, Abakaliki

The Chaplain of the All Progressives Congress APC, in Ebonyi State, Bishop Samuel Onuh has praised existing peace and unity in Ebonyi APC family and prayed for its Sustenance to move the state forward.

Bishop Onuh, who is also the President of all Ebonyi indigenous Bishop Forum, related this to our correspondent shortly after the weekly one hour prayer at the conference hall, office of the state APC chairman ICC Abakaliki, Monday.

He noted that Ebonyi never had it this good in the area of peace and unity, attributing the existence of peace in the state to the hand of God upon the leadership of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifiru and the excellent spirit deposited on the State chairman of APC, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha by God.

Onuh called on those with positive intention of joining the party to make free to join, warning that those who are coming with the mindset of betraying the party will be rebuked by God.

The clergy emphasized that the whole essence of the prayer was to involve the presence of God in running the affairs of the party.

"God brought a united leaders to unite his people. We have never heard it this good before, but because the hand of God is upon this government, that's why you're seeing this peace. The Bible say, when the righteous is on the throne, the people rejoice.they will be peace in the land.

"Many people are coming into the APC, yes it is a great movement by Jehovah. It has never been like this before in the history of Ebonyi, when people are completely united. 75% to 80% of Ebonyians have been united to become members of APC, officially from their hearts and many more are still coming.  We pray that a time will come when almost 90 to 95% must become members of APC in Ebonyi State, but those that genuinelyl coming to be part of the party, a're welcome but those that are coming with the intent  to betray the party, God will rebuke, that's our prayer for this Government, this is because we like what the government is doing, unity and peace. The unity in the land requires great price which they are paying and we have prayed for the governor and commended his great work. We thank God for a governor like him, who has the interest of his people at heart. Better things are happening every day and we pray that God strengthen and keep him for us. We also thank God for the state chairman of APC, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, whom God has given an excellent spirit to keep uniting the party in the state", he concluded.
