Council Polls :Ikwo Council Boss Promises Consolidation of Legacy Projects, Policies

Ikwo Local Government APC Campaign train for the forthcoming Council Election in Ebonyi State on Wednesday 17th July, 2024 climaxed its State Constituency and ward to ward rallies at the Council headquarters, Onuebeonyi Echara. 

Addressing the mammoth crowd at the rally, the APC Chairmanship Candidate, and current Executive Chairman of the LGA, Hon. Barr. Sunday Basil Nwankwo, promised to involve more stakeholders at the ward level in consolidating his legacy administration to achieve more results at the grassroots. He praised the State Governor, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Bldr. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, who he said made his second term bid possible through Executive pronouncement, which was re-echoed by stakeholders and people of Ikwo Noyo clan.
The Chairman thanked the Governor for his leadership ingenuity anchored on the people’s charter of needs mantra. He pledged to not only consolidate on his legacy achievements, but shall step down the Governor’s policies in Ikwo Local government Area.

In their remarks and goodwill messages, the Chairman of APC Campaign Council in Ikwo LGA, Chief Barr. Okeagu Ogada, the Campaign Director General, Hon. James Alaka, wife of the member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, Mrs. Mary Chinedu Ogah, member representing Ikwo North State Constituency, Hon. Ifeanyi Nwakpu, State APC youth leader, Prince Ogbonnaya Alo, stakeholders; Elder Chief Stephen Orogwu, Chief Celestine Nwali, and a woman leader, Mrs. Chinyere Achor, assured the Chairman that Ikwo people will reciprocate his inclusive and people oriented leadership through massive votes that will impress him and the State Governor. They called on electorates, especially women to mobilize their family members to go out on Election Day and vote the Chairman and all Councillorship candidates of APC.
Handing over flags to all the Ward Councillorship candidates, the Chairman of APC in Ikwo LGA, Mr. Sunday Onuzu charged them and stakeholders of the party to mobilize massively to ensure that the party wins impressively at the polls. He emphasized the need for all APC faithful to go out and vote on that day, stressing that the party will take the results of the election seriously as a reference material in their subsequent activities.
Many dignitaries, including Development centre Coordinators, present and former Public office holders, Leaders of APC at various levels, youth groups and other support groups, attended the campaign rally. Highlights of the event was the official handing over of APC flags to the Councillorship candidates, cultural dance, distribution of cartons of magi cube, bags of salt and money to all the twenty wards in Ikwo LGA.
