EBHASC Introduces Measures To Sanitize It's Workforce

In its bid to sanitize the working habits of the staff of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, the Ebonyi State House of Assembly Service Commission has slammed a Pro-rata system of payment of salaries starting from August 1st 2024.

Equally, as a way of keeping the Assembly complex clean and in shape, general clean-up exercises will henceforth be held on every Monday of the week.

Revealing these decisions of the Commission to the staff at a staff meeting held recently, the Chairman of Ebonyi state House of Assembly Service Commission, Rt Hon  Francis Elem reiterated diligence to duty and the importance of keeping  the Assembly complex clean as he said "cleanliness is next to Godliness".

He explained further that the recent habits of some of the workers made the Commission to have meeting with all the Heads of Departments and arrived at the decision of payment according to attendance to duty.

The Chairman, Rt. Hon. Francis Elem however commended the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for his attention to the House of Assembly and equally the Speaker Rt. Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa for the way he is piloting the affairs of the complex.

He conclusively added that considering the enormous efforts of the Governor and the Speaker to transform the State, it behoves on all the workers of the State House of Assembly to reciprocate these efforts and be alive to their official responsibilities by coming to work everyday, on time and close at the stipulated hour at the end of the day.

The Secretary of the Commission, Mrs Maryrose Chinwe Ezeagu encouraged the staff to be alive to their duties and commended the Chairman and members of the Commission for the provision of the workers welfare.
