The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC, in Ebonyi state, chief Stanley Okoro Emegha says, he is driving towards making Ebonyi state a one party State, through appeals and open door policy.
The state APC Boss disclosed this on Thursday, in his office while interacting with selected journalists. He noted that the state will be more peaceful and united if everybody is brought under one political platform.
"I am driving towards making Ebonyi state a one party State. It will be an achievement on my side. People don't know. Before the 2027 general election, I assure you that opposition party will come out and say, we are endorsing this person for this position, we don't have a candidate. It is constitutional, there's no any law that is against it. it will happen and am driving towards that, and by the special grace of God through appeals and open consultation will get that. It is better and cheaper for us", he said.
Emegha, reiterated the preparedness of his party in winning the forthcoming Local Government election in the state.
"We're doing our campaign and well prepared for the election.
In order to win all the Local Government Areas during the election, my party has embarked on a serious campaign. We don’t want lapses. It is an election and we are working hard to win the election and by the grace of God, we shall win", he said.
The Chairman urged all APC supporters to come out en mass to vote for APC candidates on the election day.
Recall that Ebonyi State Independent Electoral Commission (EBSIEC).had earlier scheduled the Local Government election in the state for July 20, 2024 and about twelve political parties, according to our findings, filed candidate for the election.
