Just In: Akobundu Quits PDP, Joins APC

2023 PDP  House of Representatives Aspirant in Ezza North/Ishielu Federal constituency, Ebonyi State, Dr. Kenneth Akobundu Nweke has led thousands of  supporters to the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC).

Akobundu who was Special Assistant to former Enugu Governor, Sullivan Chime on Project Monitoring said he led his supporters into the APC because of the policies and programs of Governor Francis Nwifuru which he described as people oriented.

He noted that he can't afford to be in opposition when the Governor was running an all inclusive administration.

The business mogul turned politician said apart from his structures he was collapsing into the APC, he is bringing in knowledge into the party to enable the party to succeed in where there are gaps.

"We the leadership of PDP in Ebonyi State have resolved to collapse all our structures to APC to become one political family which is APC.

" We are moving to APC to support the Governor for the good work he is doing in the state and also support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his Renewed Hope Agenda which is changing governance in the country for the benefit of all Nigerians.

"Though there are challenges in the state and the country but when we bring our support for the President and our Governor, the state and the nation will move forward.

"The people of Ebonyi State have resolved that we are collapsing into one family which is APC. This is why we are joining APC.

"Apart from the total structure, we are bringing our knowledge which we have acquired over the years into the APC to help the party to succeed in the areas that there are gaps", Akobundu stated.
