The Senator Representing Ebonyi Central Senatorial District
and Chairman Senate Committee on Information & National Orientation, Sen. Ken Chukwuma Eze has felicitated the entire Ezza Nation on the occasion of 2024 OKEAKU New Yam festival.
In a message he personal signed and made available to newsmen in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state, Senator Eze enjoined his people to use the festival to demonstrate Love, unity and good neighborliness and the people.
He said, "It is with profound joy that I Distinguished Senator Engr. Ken Eze FNSE, FNATE, Senator Representing Ebonyi Central Senatorial District and Chairman Senate Committee on Information and National Orientation, on behalf of my family and the good people of Ebonyi Central Senatorial District heartily felicitate with the entire Royal Fathers of Ezza Ezekuna Clan, the Traditional heads, major Stakeholders, illustrious sons, daughters and indeed the entire good people of Ezza Ezekuna both at home and in Diaspora, as we mark and celebrate the auspicious occasion of 2024 OKAKU New Yam festival.
"Okaku New Yam Festival is indeed our age long cultural heritage that is quite symbolic and highly significant. It is indeed a period of stock-taking, self evaluation, soul searching and genuine reconciliation, Yes, is a period of new beginning, a season of fresh harvest, a new dawn and a time to renew our collective hope and aspiration for a greater future. Okeku is precisely a new calendar year for us the great people of Ezza Nation.
