A passionate appeal has gone to Ebonyi youths not to participate in the planned nation wide protest in the interest of the State.
Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru made the appeal at the Youths/ Stakeholders' summit held in Abalaliki the State capital.
Members of the Youth Council, Organised Labour, Women Societies, Market Women, Ohaneze Ndigbo, FON Youth Movement and other youth groups including political leaders converged at the State Christian Ecumenical Centre to participate in the summit

" I am committed to creating an enabling environment that allows you to thrive.
"As your Governor, I recognise the importance of youth development and we are working tirelessly to provide opportunities for education, skills acquisition and entrepreneurship".

Governor Nwifuru added "we gather to listen, to learn and to collaborate.
"I want to hear your ideas, your concerns and your aspirations. We will work together to address the challenges you face to unlock your full potential."
The Minister of Works Sen. David Nweze Umahi said the planned protest is needless considering the efforts so far made by President Tinubu to secure the future of the country.
He said President Tinubu's administration has done a lot for Ebonyi State and appealed to youths to shun the proposed protest .
Other Speakers including Former Governor Martin Elechi, and Former Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim lauded the Tinubu-led Government and Governor Nwifuru for working tirelessly towards providing basic infrastructures and social supports that aligns with the popular wishes of the vast majority.
