FRC Visits Ikwo LGA, Commends Council Boss, DC Coordinators Compliance to Fiscal Responsibility Policy

Members of Ebonyi State Fiscal Responsibility Commission have commended the Executive Chairman of Ikwo Local Government Area, Hon. Barr Sunday Basil Nwankwo and Coordinators of Development Centers in the Area, for their compliance to the laid down fiscal policy in discharge of their responsibilities at the Local Government and Development Centers. They gave the commendation during a monitoring excercise by the commission to Ikwo Local Government Area, on Wednesday 21st August, 2024

The team led by Chief Simon Anyigor said the visit to Ikwo, other LGAs and Development Centers was to monitor and ensure compliance to Fiscal Responsibility Policy implementation thrust of Ebonyi State Government as it affects LGAs and Development Centers in the State. He explained that Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru believes in rule of law and expects all segments of Government to effectively comply with provisions of law in all it's fiscal transactions. The Commission applauded the Council Boss for his prudent management of funds in delivering life touching projects and welfare programmes to people of Ikwo Local Government Area.

Welcoming the team, the Executive Chairman of the Council, Hon Barr Sunday Basil Nwankwo thanked the Commission for commending their efforts at stepping down the People's charter of needs policy of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru to the grassroots.
The Chairman promised that he and Coordinators of Development Centers in Ikwo LGA will continue to comply with the provisions of fiscal responsibility policy in implementation of their programmes and projects geared towards the welfare of the masses. He noted that the cordial relationship between the State Government, the Local Government Council and Development Centers will be sustained for greater productivity.

Coordinators of the six Development Centers in Ikwo LGA who were present at the visit, thanked the team for the sensitization and pledged to abide by tenents of laws in discharge of their duties.
