No fewer than three hundred Undergraduates of Mbeke Development Center origin in Ebonyi Local Government Area of the state, studying in various institution of higher learning has reviewed bursary from the Coordinator of Mbeke Development Center, Hon. Franklin Chukwuma Nwugwu
Flagging off the disbursement of the bursary fund, the Coordinator said, he is motivated by the huge investment of the state Governors, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru in Education sector hence, the need for him complement and replicate the people's charter of news of the present administration in the Development Center and charged beneficiaries to use the money and invest in their studies to guarantee their future.
He praised the exemplary leadership of the state Governor and for reviving Development Centres in thei State, as well implementing in full,Ebonyi People's Charter of Needs in all sectors and sections of State.
The Coordinator maintained that without the good leadership style of the Governor, the payment of the bursary to such number of students wouldn't have been possible, assuring that he will never delay stepping down the life touching policies and programmes of Governor Nwifuru's led administration.
Mr Franklin Nwugwu commended the students for taking the bold steps of furthering their education up to their current academic levels,insisting that they should not relent in taking their studies more seriously in order to justify the high expectations of their parents in particular and the government of Ebonyi State at large.
In their separate goodwill messages, the Head of Personnel Management, Mr Otozi, the Chief of Staff to the Deputy Majority Whip of the 10th Nigerian Senate and Legal doyen,Barrister Nnaemeka Nwambam, the Management Committee Member in charge of Education, Honourable Oliver Igube and his Agric counterpart Honourable Chidera Nwele all appreciated the center Coordinator- Honourable Nwugwu for his giant strides in bringing democracy dividends to the rural areas and particularly for breaking the jinx to become the first ever Coordinator to pay bursary in the history of Mbeke Development Centre.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the National President of Mbeke Development Centre Undergraduates,Comrade Mkpuma Johnson Michael applauded Honourable Nwugwu for assisting the students through the bursary awards and pledged that Mbeke Development Centre Undergraduates will strive to make him proud in their academics. He further appreciated the God sent Governor of Ebonyi State for being a true leader with the burning desire to assist his people.
Corroborating, Nelson Chinedu Uchaji Law Student of Ebonyi State University, Agala Odinaka of School of Health,Ngbo,Maryann Ukamaka Nwori of EBSU,Edy Ngozi Magadalin of EBSU, Mbam Moses Chinedu of Akanuibiam Federal Polytechnic all thanked the Coordinator, emphasizing that the bursary will assist them a lot especially now that the economy of the country is very harsh. They prayed God to continue to bless and protect the Coordinator to keep on delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.
