Speaking at the visit, the Committee Chairman Hon Ifeanyi Nwakpu said the committee visited to ascertain the effectiveness, welfare packages for both workers and the host community and it's social responsibilities to the people and enhancing thier productivity.
Speaking after going round the company Hon Nwakpu told the company to improve on the welfare packages of workers considering the economic hardship being faced by the people and directed management of the company to forward thiier community development agreement, environmental impact assessment report and leased certificate of the company to the committee.
Also Speaking ,a member of the committee who represent Edda East Constituency in the Ebonyi State House of Assembly Hon Stephen Orji Igwe urged the Managing Director of the Company . not to deviate from social responsibilities they signed with thier host Community
Speaking on behalf of the Company, the Managing Director Mr Yang highlighted the activities of the company which includes total compliance with the contract agreement they signed, community development initiatives and revenue payment.
He thanked the committee for the visit which he described as timely and necessary.
