The leader of Edda Legislative Council, Orji Uguru Etta has been re-elect Leader of the Legislative Council by his colleagues for second term.
Orji, who is the councilor representing Nguzu Ward was first elected in 2022 local Government election and was re-elect for second term on July 20, local Government election in the state.
His emergence as the leader of the Legislative Council followed the proclamation of the Legislative Council on Tuesday, by the Executive Chairman, Edda Local Government Area, Prince Chima Ekumankamama, in accordance with the law governing Local Government Areas in Nigeria,
Addressing the Councilors, the Executive Chairman of Edda local government area Hon prince Chima Ekumankama charged them to be deligent in discharging their duties.
He enjoin them to remain loyal and faithful party men and implement the people's charter of needs Agenda of the present administration in their respective wards, through legislations and not allow anything undermine their performance.
The Council Boss assured them of his readiness to synergize with them for effective services delivery in Edda.
In his speech, the leader of the legislative council, Hon Oji Uguru Etta thanked the chairman and his colleagues for findin him worthy to serve for the second term as the leader of the legislators and promised not to take the love for granted. He assured the council Chairman of the loyalty and harmonious working relation of his colleagues in realizing the MEZIE EDDA mantra in Edda Council Area.

The event which took place at Nguzu Edda, the council headquarters, had in attendance, stakeholders, party leaders and faithfuls, Development Center Coordinators, management Committe members among others.
