The forum of registered APC National and State support groups in Ebonyi state has asked the Government of Ebonyi state under the watch of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru to include its members in the governance of the state by appointing members into different Government positions, agencies and parastatals.
The spokesperson of Support Groups in the State and state Coordinator Asiwaju Grassroot Foundation/ Project beyond 2023, Engr Nweze Emmanuel Victor, made this known during a chat with newsmen in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state capital.
Engr Nweze noted that based on the fact available, no member of the support groups either at the leadership level has been accommodated in the governance of the state, be it appointment, Empowerment or contracts, despite their input before and during the election that urshered in the current Government into power. He stated further that the forum leadership and groups played pivotal roles in galvanizing support for the Victory of the state Governor, President and other APC candidates during 2023 general Elections in the state.
He opined that leaders and members of the support groups are men and women of proven integrity, characters and competence, and can handle any position entrusted in their hands competently.
Nweze, however, extolled the leadership ingenuity and youth Inclusiveness of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru and the strategic measures he has adopted in the development and transformation of the state and Called on the Governor to include his group in the scheme of things in the state citing other states like Cross River which he said, included various support groups in the Governance of their state.
The spokesman of the support groups assured the governor that the leadership of all the groups in the state will galvanize its members to continue to support him in delivering his administration's people's charter needs in all the critical sectors of the state.
