Int'l Half Marathon; Rep Ogah Lauds Gov. Nwifiru's Effort In Revamping Sporting Activities In Ebonyi

The member, Representating Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives,  Rt. Hon. Chinedu Ogah, has congratulated the State contingent at the just concluded First Ebonyi International marathon race, 2024 held in Abakaliki, the State Capital. 

Ogah, commended Ebonyi State governor for revitalisation sports in the State and appreciateed the effort of the State commissioner for Ministry for Sports and Youth Development, Hon. Richard Idike for all the necessary innovations and efforts towards the success of the event.  

Trekking almost 17.5km, Ogah commended the governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for the giant achievements and proactive governance in the State. 

He equally applauded the Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Hon. Richard Idike for bringing back and revitalizing sports in the state. He thanked him for preparing the athletes that led to the hitch free event.

"I thank he State Governor, Ogbonna Nwifuru for making it possible by ensuring the athletes get all the necessary items before and during the event. 

" I thank you the governor of Ebonyi State for releasing the fund worth millions of Naira to the ministry used for awarding the atletes which included our brothers from the Northern origin. 

"This means that the governor is not tribalistic and he doesn't segregate and this worths every commendation.

“The Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development have done well for promoting sports using his ministry. He is up and doing to have made the environment conducive for the athletes, and other participants during the event". Ogah said. 

“We enjoyed the coordination of the event and we will always come back home from Abuja anytime this type of event is taking place in the state and this is the first of it's kind since the inception of office of the governor of Ebonyi State". 

The governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, represented by the Deputy, Hon. Princess Onyemachi Obila, the  State Secretary General, Prof. Grace Umezurike, the Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly Rt Hon Moses ije Odunwa, Senator Kenneth Eze, Rt. Hon. Chinedu Ogah OON, Obinna Ogba and other State appointees were all present during the event.
