The Chairman Senate Committee on Information and National Orientation and Senator representing Ebonyi Central Senatorial District, Senator Engr Kenneth Emeka Eze has charged the National Orientation Agency on proper orientation of Nigerians on the policies and programmes of the government and develop a feedback mechanism between the masses and the government.
He stated this in an opening session of the 4-day National Orientation Agency Expanded Management Retreat 2024 in Abuja. Speaking further as a critical stakeholder and special guest at the event, Sen Eze urged the Agency to explore modern technology in information dissemination and management for effective communication of government programmes and policies to the masses. He assured the Agency that the Senate through his committee will give them all the support they need to meet their constitutional mandate.
The Retreat which is aimed at strategic repositioning of the Agency and align its vision, roles and expectations with the Renewed Hope Agenda Programme of the present administration, had in attendance Directors at the NOA headquarters, state directors and deputy directors, the DG National Orientation Agency, Prof. Gerry Gana and all past DGs of NOA, Minister of Information and National Orientation and other critical stakeholders in the industry.
