Senator Ken Eze Congratulates New Council Chairmen: Sues For Peace, Unity In Ebonyi Central

The Senator representing Ebonyi Central Senatorial Zone, Engr. Kenneth Eze, has Congratulated the four council Chairmen of Ikwo, Ezza South, Ezza North and Ishielu Council Areas respectively, on their successful inauguration by the state Governor, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.

Senator Eze, who is the Chairman, Senate committee on Information and national orientation gave the expression during the of Ezza South Chairman Dr Euphemia at her Nokara county home, Ezza South Local Government Area of Ebonyi state.


Eze, reminded the four council Chairmen that their emergence for second term was divinely orchestrated and not basically on dinct of hard work alone. He called on them to make peace and unity of their People, their watchwords in their various council Areas so as to guarantee even development, Progresses and stability of the state.

"God has a reason for making you Chairmen, and that God's ways are not to be questioned. God's divine favor is what elevates individuals to positions of power, and it is not based on human effort or merit".


"Peace is the most urgent requirement in our Local Government Areas. Peace is a precursor to diversity, development, and unity in the society. Peace brings about an environment conducive to progress and harmony among the people".


The Senator encouraged the leaders of Ezza South to continue promoting peace in the local government. He urged them to prioritize peace-building initiatives, emphasizing that it is the foundation upon which all other development efforts can be built. By preaching peace, the leaders can help create a united and prosperous society for all inhabitants of the LGA.



He expressed gratitude to the governor of the state Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for his leadership, recognizing that God has endowed him with the wisdom and expertise necessary to effectively govern the state and urged continued support for the governor, expressing confident that greater accomplishments lies ahead.


He urged supporters of both the Chairman and himself to prioritize peace and unity among leaders in the local government. He cautioned against spreading false information, fueling divisions, and harboring grudges, jealousy, and envy, which do not confer power and advocated for mutual respect among leaders and encouraged leaders to conduct themselves in a manner that earns them respect.
Recall that the July 20th Local Government election in the state saw Barr Sunday Nwankwo of Ikwo, Dr Euphemia Nwali of Ezza South, Moses Ogodo Ali Nome of Ezza North reelected respectively, while Peace Agwu was elected to replace the former Chairman of Ishielu, Obinna Onwe.
