Late David Chima was a staff of Ebonyi State Ministry of Information and State Orientation, attached to Edda Local Government Council as a Public Relations Officer (PRO) until his death.
From all sincere accounts, Chima was an easy going person, very intelligent, humble and dedicated to his duties.
He was a true unionist who participated actively in all activities of NUJ until he became sick.
In a statement from Comrade Nwafor Samson,
Chairman, NUJ, Ebonyi State Council,
"We are pained by his sudden death; and it's a sad reminder of other painful deaths the Union has recorded in recent time.
"We pray for the peaceful repose of his soul; and for God to grant his immediate family, and the rest of us, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss".
Recall that Ebonyi state council of Nigeria Union of journalist have lost over five members to the cold hands of this year alone.
