No fewer than 300 Ebonyi youths and women has been deployed to undergo Agro Skill Training by the
State Government.
The 300 youths comprise of the 200 hundred that are already in Nasarawa State for the same Agricultural Skill Training and second batch of 100 youths and women that are deployed to Master Skill Training Center, Agbani, Enugu State.
Speaking during deparrure program, the Commissioner for Human Capital Development and monitoring, Mrs Ann Aligwe said, the training program is inline with the Governor's people's charter of needs Agenda in making sure that Ebonyians are self reliant.
Aligwe, enumerated some of the interventions and empowerment program of the Governor to include one million, one hundred eighty social works programs and skills acquisition training.
She revealed that the governor and State Government is determined to lift more Ebonyians from poverty lines to self sufficiency and reliant.
The commissioner commended the governor for the laudable interventions and enjoined the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the opportunity to better their lots.
She noted that the state Governor, Chief Francis Nwifiru has paid for everything to make them comfortable while the training last. She handed them fifty thousand naira each, for their call cards from the state Governor and promised to send them another fifty thousand naira next month for the same purpose.

"Today is another memorable day in Ebonyi State and in the life of the youths of Ebonyi State. Today, His Exellency our dear Governor, Rt Hon Bldr Francis Ogbonna Nwifiru has approved again for onward despatch of second batch of the Francis Ogbonna Nwifiru empowerment program, people who are undergoing two months training in different Agricultural entrepreneur skills to better their lives. You know, in his People's charter of needs, he said, he has come to touch the life of Ebonyians, stomach infrastructure, road infrastructure and welfare and he has been going about doing it. His Excellency has been touching lives in one way or the other. Just two weeks ago, we concluded the disbursement of two million naira empowerment, from tomorrow , another set of beneficiaries will start reviewing one hundred and eighty thousand Naira each in the state. His Excellency didn't stop at that, the first batch that went for this Agricultural and entrepreneur Training came back and were empowered with three million naira each to start their farming Business. And during the Exco meeting, the EXCO approved that we should help so many youths to benefit from this special largesse from His Excellency. As am taking to you now, we have two hundred Ebonyians in Nasarawa State undergoing the same Training and here today, we are despatching another set of one hundred Ebonyi youths and women who are going to Master Skill, Enugu to undergo two months Training and when you come back, you will be empowered like others . His Excellency send his greetings and said that I should notify you people that he has serious plans for you. He wants to raise so many millionaires in Ebonyi. Before now, people don't take Government programms serious, but you can attest to the fact that His Excellency means business and any time he promises anything, he fulfills it.
"His Excellency want to make many Ebonyians millionaires and independent before 2027. He wants you to have second address that is why he is giving you all these Training and when you finish, he will empower you. So, today, His Excellency has approved that you people move to Master Skill Center, Agbani for the two months Training and he has also approved for your pocket money. Each of you will receive fifty thousand naira (50,000) each before leaving and at the end of one month, you receive another fifty thousand naira. He has already paid for your feeding, healthcare, paid for everything that will make you comfortable in that Training Center, so, the fifty thousand naira that His Excellency is giving to you is just for your recharge cards, in case you need to call your family members.or need data to make some research. He has made everything available for you to be comfortable in that place and said, God will surely bless His Exellency for all these things he is doing for Ebonyians. Today is a memorable day. We in the ministry of Human Capital Development are happy because we are transforming lives, we are touching lives. We're teaching you people how to fish and that we give you fish. It's a two-way exercise that we are doing and by the special Grace of God, the first batch of this training beneficiaries are doing well. We have started monitoring and evaluating them on what they are doing. They have opened their farms, fish ponds, poultry, pig farms and we're happy about that, because that's actually what we bargain for, to sure that by the time you're trained and we give you something to establish yourself and before you know, you start training others".
