Abakaliki,
The Member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. (Comrade) Chinedu Ogah, OON, has donated five million naira for the construction of Ibarapo School in Ndufu Amagu, ward one in Ikwo LGA of Ebonyi state.
Ogah announced this during his visit to the community while reiterating his commitment to improving education in the area.
Ogah described the Governor as "a man of peace" for the harmony different communities are enjoying in Ebonyi State today, stating that he will not rest in his constituency until he contributes his quota to the success story of his administration.
Speaking at the event, Ogah, who is the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Reformatory Institutions, pointed out that the Governor has supported him in various aspects of life and that he will reciprocate this goodwill by extending it to the rural areas.
He expressed concern that some members of the community are allowing individuals from the area to use them for selfish interests, causing division and disunity.
"We are one indivisible family, and nobody has the audacity to bring division and disunity among us," he stated.
"If anyone stops the children from going to school, I'll inform the Governor that those causing the crisis are barricading the future of the children. Those individuals will be charged for depriving the children of their fundamental human rights and prosecuted accordingly."
He further commended the Governor for the peace and harmony existing along the various boundary lines that cut across the State.
Ogah extensively warned those causing misunderstandings and agitating for the creation of a new village to follow due process and to stop employing violent measures that could lead to further chaos and distraction of the administration of the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State.
"In support of the good administration of the Governor of Ebonyi State, and to encourage education, I will be releasing the sum of five million Naira (₦5,000,000) for the construction of the Holy Hill School, the community school."
"Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru is taking good care of me and has done well for me personally. His second tenure is sacrosanct; let's give him all the necessary support to succeed," Ogah maintained.
