The newly approved programmes are, M.Ed. and Ph.D Business Education; PGDE in Education; M.Ed. and Ph. D Education Management and Foundational Studies; M.Ed. and Ph. D Guidance and Counselling; PGD, M.Eng. and Ph.D Civil Engineering and PGD, M.Eng. and Ph.D Electrical Engineering.
Other approved programmes include: M.Sc. and Ph.D Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases; M.Sc. and Ph.D Parasitology; M.Sc. and Ph. D Virology; PGD, M.A. Ph.D Theatre Arts; PGD, M.Sc. and Ph.D Criminology and Security Studies; and PGD, M.Sc.and Ph.D Agribusiness
In a letter addressed to the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Sunday Elom, dated 11th December 2024 and signed by the Ag. Director, Academic Planning, Abubakar M. Girei, the Commission approved the establishment of the 12 programmes , stressing that it would run in full-time mode at the main campus of the university with effect from the 2024/2025 academic session.
With this milestone, AE-FUNAI School of Postgraduate Studies is poised to train and turn out competent middle and high-level manpower for the Nigerian political economy and beyond. Qualified PG candidates are therefore expected and encouraged to make good use of this opportunity and enrol into the programmes of their choice for a robust rsearch'-based postgraduate academic activities under the guidance of committed, resourceful and cerebral academics.
