The member representing Ikwo/Ezza Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedu Ogah OON, Tuesday, celebrated his father, Chief Denis Igwe Ogah JP, 80th birthday.
The event attracted dignitaries, family, and friends to Item Amagu in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
Speaking at the event, the Ebonyi state Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Nwifuru, represented by the deputy Governor of the state, Princess Patricia Obila Onyemeachi described the celebration as a testament of Chief Dennis Ogah’s legacy, as he not only was the family head but as a community builder.
“Our father is a great man. We congratulate you for your contributions to human development. You didn’t just raise your children; we have heard the contributions you have made in terms of human development.” she said.
"By the grace of God we will come next year to celebrate you again. From today we will continue to celebrate you," she stated.
Hon. Chinedu Ogah, speaking on behalf of his siblings, expressed profound gratitude to the family of Barr. Okeagu Ogada for their unwavering support during his father’s challenging times. He also thanked everyone who came to honor the celebration, stating, “I appreciate God for this opportunity to celebrate my father’s life. Thank you to all who have shown love and stood by us.”
Earlier, the Chairman of the occasion, Chief Livinus Ilang, lauded the life and impact of Chief Ogah, saying, “We are grateful to God for allowing us to celebrate this milestone with a man who has touched so many lives. We appreciate everyone who honored this event.”
The event was graced by notable personalities, including the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abass, represented by Idu Igariwey, member representing Afikpo North/South Federal Constituency. In addition, several political leaders including the Chairman of Ikwo Local government area, Barr. Sunday Nwankwo and Chairman Ezza South LGA of Ebonyi state, Mrs. Euphemia Nwali, the CEO Asaga Limited, Christian Asaga Nwali among other notable dignitaries, family members, and friends were present at the occasion.
