The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has appointed Chris Emmanuel as its media aide, reinforcing the party’s commitment to effective communication and public engagement.
In a statement signed by the party’s Publicity Secretary and issued on Sunday, February 9, 2025, APGA leadership expressed confidence in Emmanuel’s ability to enhance the party’s media strategies and strengthen public interaction.
Announcing the appointment in a letter of engagement, the Ebonyi State Chairman of APGA, Hon. Chukwudi Nwankwo, stated that the decision was made after due consultation. He emphasized that the move aims to ensure that the activities and progress of APGA in Ebonyi State reach every electorate.
Hon. Nwankwo charged the newly appointed media aide to work closely with the State Publicity Secretary to achieve effective communication and better visibility for the party. He urged both officials to leverage their experience to position APGA as a strong contender in future elections.
Calling on media practitioners in Ebonyi State to maintain their partnership with APGA’s media team, Nwankwo noted that no political party, regardless of its popularity, can thrive without media collaboration.
He also took the opportunity to appreciate journalists in the state for their coverage of APGA during the last gubernatorial election. He assured the Ebonyi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) that the party remains grateful for the support extended to its gubernatorial candidate, Prof. Bernard Odoh, and other contestants in the election.
“It is certain, without the men of the fourth estate of the realm, no one would know the existence of any political party, and my joy is that here in Ebonyi, the media men works according to the ethics of their profession. Let me assure NUJ that within the short while, I will surely make time to sit on one and reciprocate the NUJ for selling the party and her candidates to the members of the public.” He concluded.
