In an effort to complement the robust health policy of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru led administration in Ebonyi state, the state Deputy youth leader of the ruling All progressives Congress APC, Comrade Nnamdi Chukwu has organized a free medical screening for the elderly and windows in Ngwulangwu, Ohaozara local government area of the state.
The medical screening saw over 84 elderly men, women and widows screened for various ailments such as Blood pressure, Hepatitis, glaucoma, malaria, among others.
The sponsor of the medical screening, Hon. Nnamdi Chukwu, called on the well to do individuals in the society to join hands with the visionary leadership of Governor Francis Nwifuru in making the state a better place for all.
He promised to make the screening exercise an annual event and called for support from wealthy individual to expand the coverage.
He commended Governor Francis Nwifuru's strategic investment in health sector and encouraged his people to always visit the primary health centres in their various localities in event of any health challenge.
The team of medical practitioners administered drugs to some of the beneficiaries of the screening with minor health challenge while those with high risked challenge were referred to secondary and tertiary health centers for adequate care.
He enjions the people to always take care, and prioritize their health need at all times, as such will help minimize the rate of sudden deaths being witnessed these days.
Some of the beneficiaries thanked the sponsor, Hon. Nnamdi Chukwu for the initiative and prayed God to bless and prosper him.
