IWD: 'We Celebrate Our Pride In Women Folks' --Ebonyi SWAN Chair

As the global community celebrates the International Women's Day, the chairman Sports Writers Association,(SWAN) Ebonyi state chapter, Comrade Ndubuisi Nwogha felicitated with the female folks who have shown capacity in projecting the good image of the state and the country at large.

The state chapter Chairman, Comrade Nwogha in a statement signed and made available to newsmen eulogized Ebonyi women for their great strides in shaping the image of the country in good light.

He applauded the wife of Ebonyi state governor, Mrs Mary-Maudline Nwifuru who was recently honoured by the Sun Newspaper as the most supportive wife to the husband using her Better Health for Rural Women, Children, and physically Challenged,BERWO, a pet project founded by the first lady of the state.

He acknowledged the stride exhibited by an Ebonyi born cricket player who won as the Nigeria best Athlete at Malaysia, Mrs Lilian Udeh and said that the outing did not only shows the inaptitude of Ebonyi girls, but a clear picture of the greatness among our female children.

The state Chairman, Comrade Nwogha while thanking Governor Francis Nwifuru for his inclusive leadership in the state urged all the female appointees and elective officers in the state to continue supporting the governor for the best interest of the state.

"Women are great gift to every great society. On this special day, we celebrate great Athletes who have made our country and Ebonyi state proud; the likes of Her Excellency, Mrs Mary-Maudline Uzoamaka Nwifuru, Mrs Lilian Udeh, among thousand others," Comrade Nwogha stated.
