Reps Member Commissions Reconstructed Offe Bridge By Ebonyi Commissioner

The member representing Ikwo/ Ezza South Federal Constituency, Chinedu Ogah, on Saturday commissioned a reconstructed Ofie bridge at Ojon market, Enyibichiri Alike Community, Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, which was reconstructed by the state Commissioner for border peace and conflict resolution, Dr. Donatus Ilang.


Speaking shortly, before the commissioning of the project, Ogah, commended Dr Ilang for undertaking  such a huge financial project, noting that what the commissoner did is inline  with Governor Francis Nwifuru's people's charter of needs agenda of impacting lives of the Rural dwellers in the state.

The Federal Lawmaker, appreciated the Commissoner and the stakeholders for their commitment to the welfare of the people and promise to construct the main bridge to give the people unhindered access to their business and farms.


"What you have done is in line with the people's charter of needs of our Governor, which is meant to execute infrastructural  projects that impact life in the rural areas. I must commend you my Commissioner and all the stakeholders here for all your support. Whoever that have bought wood knows that  this rehabilitation work cost heavy money. If you know the amount he used in constructing this bridge, you have to appreciate the commissoner. Commissioner, because of what you have done in supporting the government of Chief Francis, I will use my salary to construct the main bridge".

Ogah, further assured the people of his readiness to attracting more projects and dividends of Democracy to them.


On his part, the Commissoner for border peace and conflict resolution, Dr Donatus Chukwuma Ilang, said, he carried out a remedial work on the bridge because of its importance to the people of Enyibichiri and her neighboring Community and in extension, Cross River State.
"This bridge is very important to our people. It's a bridge that is very cardinal. It has a very supper highway to the people of Cross River, Izzi, Echara and many other numerous places".


Dr Ilang thanked Hon. Chinedu Ogah for promising to construct the bridge and called on the people to redouble their support for him.

He appreciated the state Governor, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for institutionalizing peace in all parts of the state and applauded the people of Enyibichiri for supporting the administration of Governor Francis Nwiuiru and for remaining peaceful since the inception of Governor Nwifuru's administration, whom he described as a beacon of peace and assured them that the governor will construct the remaining portion of road from Ojon to nwida and to ukwu mangoe and Echara and bring more dividends of Democracy to the people.

Stakeholders present at event include Chief Vitalis Elechi Nwode, Chief Livinus Ilang, Chief Azubuike Akam, Chief Celestine Nwele, Prof. Mike Otuma, Engr Chukwuma Ojiogu, who is the president general Enyibichiri Alike Development Union and comrade Chinua Nwele, Chairman of Alike Ikwo Youth Forum, among others, commended the commissoner for reconstructing the bridge. They equally thanked Hon. Chinedu Ogah for promising to construct the main bridge and called for more dividends of Democracy in the area and assured the Governor of their continued support and solidarity to his administration.

The event had in attendance stakeholders, 23 village heads, party leaders, women group, youths and cultural groups for the community.

The people used to event to pass voted of confidence on comrade chinedu Ogah, Governor Francis Nwifuru and president Bola Ahmed Tinubu and adopt them for second term in office.
